Ringsfield is a village and civil parish in the English county of Suffolk located approximately 2 miles (3 km) south-west of Beccles in the District of Waveney. The mid-2005 population estimate for Ringsfield parish was 340.[1] The modern village is concentrated around Ringsfield Corner crossroads,[2] about 1 mile (1½km) south of the parish church. Weston is 1⅓ miles (2 km) to the east, Redisham 2 miles (3 km) to the south and Ilkesthall St Andrew 2 miles (3 km) to the west.
The parish church is dedicated to All Saints.[3] The churchyard contains the grave and memorial of Princess Caroline Murat, great niece of Napoleon Bonaparte.[3][4] The church is a Grade II* listed building.[5] The village has a primary school,[6] village hall[2] and a public house[7] but few other services remain.
Redisham Hall is located in 400 acres (1.6 km2) of parkland[8] in Ringsfield parish, to the south-west of the village. It is an 18th Century[8] Grade II listed building.[5] Parts of the hall are now used as holiday cottages.[8]
A joint parish council covers Ringsfield and Weston.[2]
